Announcement!

First, I want to say a HUGE thank you to those of you who have supported me on this journey over the last couple years since I started this page. Thank you to my faithful readers and all those who share the posts! I pray that each one is encouragement to every person who reads it. I love when some of you come up to me or message me to let me know that you read and enjoyed the posts. I will continue to be a vessel for the Lord in what I write here.

I have some exciting news to share! "Daughter of the King, Warrior, Mom." will continue as a free blog, but will soon be transitioning into a business. Soon there will be a link to my store on this page! I have been working on creating some items like shirts and journals. I hope to have enough products created to launch the store this fall. Some products will be published via KDP (journals, books/guides) while others I will be using a platform that will be linked to this webpage to fulfill the orders (print on demand products).

In addition to that, there are two "guidebooks" that I am working on that will transition into two curriculums/courses that I will teach online. The first guide will be available as a cheap book for new believers, designed to be used in the evangelical setting. The second book will be designed to be used in a small group setting and will have a leader guide and participant guide. The two courses will help both new and current believers in their walk with the Lord and will use those books/guides. The classes will go way more in depth than the books. My goal is to complete and publish both of the guides by the end of the summer and launch the courses in January. I will link those on one of the tabs on this webpage and will announce each stage as it is launched!

Why a business you might ask? Because this is what God has been showing me for awhile now. I just wasn’t sure where to start. I kept thinking that I don't have the capital to start, but now I have found a way to take the first step. The Lord has had a ministry on my heart for many years and I want to start moving towards getting that started. That ministry will be separate from this page and will be established as a 501c3 organization. The idea is to have the business funding the ministry to start. Also, I want to be able to give more - not just finances, but time. I want to be out on the streets sharing the Gospel more. Spending time writing more posts to encourage others. To be able to go to locations to pray as He leads. I want to go on ministry adventures and right now, they are few and far between. I want to do these things while still serving at my church in the ways I do. And I want to be able to have time to serve there more as well. As of right now, I do hold a full time job (and will continue to for now) that tends to run into the evening hours in our busier seasons. Add ministry activities and sports to that and I find myself in a position of “I added too much to my schedule” ALL the time. So, it’s time for a change in a few areas. No more excuses.

Every product sold will carry a mission. First, to lead others to Christ if they do not know Him already. Second, for believers, to strengthen your relationship with God and encourage you to keep moving in what He has called you to do. There may be products to improve health in the future too. I am committing to only making products that somehow draw others closer to God.

Every shirt made, (aside from the "brand/logo style" ones), will be evangelistic. I’m not just throwing Scriptures on shirts. Not to knock those who are. That's just not what the Lord is asking me to do. I am aiming to produce shirts that encourage the people around you. The goal is for these shirts create opportunities to have conversations with people and open the door to praying for them.

The journals I have made are primarily a space to record interactions with God. These are a space to record what the Lord speaks to you in whatever way that may be - dreams, visions, His voice directly, sermons, etc. I have found in recent days that sitting down with a pen and paper and just asking Him questions has led to some incredible conversations. Also, I want to leave a legacy of faith, of conversations with God for my son one day. I want for you to be able to have something to leave for the next generation to build their faith. 

Eventually I’ll add some hats, bags/totes and other items. I may start making some prayer boxes again, something I used to do. I’m still learning what all can be created “print on demand” style right now. This is a work in progress! So far, creating with the Holy Spirit has been a fun experience. I have been able to utilize some amazing photos that I’ve taken over the years on journeys with the Lord. Phrases He speaks that will reach people. He has to give me designing tips because I have discovered a touch of OCD in creating these so far - but let’s just call that “excellence.” He has shown me how to create some themes for some of the items and every part of that process has been thought out (which is partially why each one is taking me so long…) from the covers to designs on each page of the journal. Every part of it points to God. I am excited to see where this journey goes.

But here’s the bottom line - I’m not the “CEO” of any of this - God is. He's running this business, I'm just here to say yes and use what He has given me to make it happen. I cannot tell you how many times in the last 6 months I have come across Deuteronomy 8:18 and it has been my reminder of that very fact (context - the Israelites were forgetting God was the reason they were flourishing), but also a reminder that it’s beyond time to get started. 

“But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.” (NIV)

I plan to write about some of this journey too, starting with this post. I want to talk about some things I’ve learned so far, hindrances along the way, successes and failures, and most importantly what it means to do this God’s way, not the way of the world. I’m not going to share the entire vision God has given me on a public platform, that is not wise. But I will say this- it’s so much bigger than me. It’s overwhelming every time I look at it to be honest. But I’m still in the process of learning so much right now and I know that I am not prepared for all of it yet. But if I continue to hesitate, I’m being disobedient. And I’m not ok with that. We as the body of Christ have stepped into a harvest season that is so much bigger than us. Maybe I’ll write about some of that soon. My point is, I am going to do my part. And I pray that it encourages you to do your part, if you’re not already. Thank you for your support, your prayers and your encouragement!
